Conwill and Vas reach Semis in DTA ZAT

Sam Conwill and Vinay Vas reached the Semi Finals in the February DTA ZAT last weekend.

Conwill beat the #1 seed, David Lally 6-2,6-1 on his way to the Semis of Boys 18, where he lost to the eventual winner Christopher Pless 6-7,4-6.

Vas reached the semis of Boys 12 where he lost to Parker Collins-Flores 2-6,2-6. Collins-Flores went on to win the tournament.

Vas in Semis

Vinay Vas reached the semi-finals of the Boys 12 Lakes ZAT tournament. He lost to the #1 seeded Naoya Matsumoto 6-2, 6-1. Matsumoto went on to win the final and Champ up.

Sydney Tang reaches finals

Sydney Tang, who trains at Plano Performance Tennis, reached the finals of the Girls 16, Lakes ZAT tennis tourmanent. Tang, who was seeded #4, defeated the #2 seed, Claire Beckley of Keller, TX 6-3, 6-1 in the Semi Finals to set up a showdown with the #3 seed, Courtnee McClain in the finals. McClain won the hard fought 7-6, 6-4 match against Tang.

Paul Hainey - Super Champ!

Paul Hainey, who trains at Plano Performance Tennis,  won the Walnut Creek Boys 18 CMZ by defeating Luke S. Mason of Dallas 6-2, 6-2 in the finals. On his way to the finals Paul defeated Kevans Sublet, Joshua Abaya and Trevor Grossklaus.

Plano Performance Tennis wishes Paul continued success in his future tournaments.

Vas reaches final - Sept CMZ

Rishi Vas reached the Boys 12 and under final of the September 2012 CMZ held at Tyler, TX. The 4th seeded Vas defeated the #1 seed Ritvik Ganesan 6-4,2-6,6-2 in an exciting Semi Final round. In the Final Vas was stopped by an in-form George Kolev from Coppell, TX. The score in the Final was 6-3, 1-6, 7-5 in favor of Kolev.
